Bob Duffessy, Owner/Operator
I started my career with Chick-fil-A in 2000 as a fry cook. In 2008, I was given the opportunity to operate Valley View Mall and in 2015 I was selected as the operator for Chick-fil-A Bonsack. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but am now proud to call Bonsack, Virginia my home. I am passionate about developing strong, mature, young adults that can persevere under pressure and that will seek wisdom. At Chick-fil-A Bonsack, we strive to keep high expectations, high accountability, and cover it with grace. It is such a pleasure to create long-term relationships with our guests each and every day.
kaitlin boyd, operations director
My first, and only, job has been with Chick-fil-A. I started as a team member in 2012 and have been able to grow through my experiences and education to become a stronger, more impactful leader. During my time with Chick-fil-A, I have also achieved a business management degree from Liberty University. My job includes overseeing all the daily operational needs that the store has, but my true passion is serving my community by investing in the young men and women at our store.
lyndsey kempf, front of house director/hiring director
I’ve been with Chick-fil-A Bonsack since our grand opening in 2015. I started as a team member and have now grown into the Front of House Director and Hiring Director. With my job, I get the privilege to train and develop quality team members while bringing in the best candidates for our team. My top priority is making sure our team is going the 2nd mile and meeting all our guests needs. I am thankful to work with such a great leadership team that encourages me, invests in me, and wants to see me succeed.
Jourdan markey, marketing director
I started my career with Chick-fil-A Bonsack in 2016 as the Restaurant Marketing Director. I am a graduate of Roanoke College and oversee all the marketing and digital marketing in our restaurant. Whether we are hosting an event, partnering with a local non-profit, or supporting a school, I have the privilege of partnering with our community. I am so thankful for the relationships I build within our community and representing such a well-established and respected brand.
Ashley Matz, Office Manager
I am the Office Manager for Chick-fil-A Bonsack and have been with Chick-fil-A since our grand opening. I started working here as a team member over 4 years ago and have grown from a shift leader, to a manager, to working more behind the scenes. The best part of my job is truly the people I work with and get to be around every day. Chick-fil-A is my second home and I am blessed to have a place that shares the same values and standards.
Courtney Sell, Drive-Thru Director
I started working for Chick-fil-A at our grand opening over 4 years ago. I was hired as a team member and grew to becoming a shift leader, to manager, to now a director. As the Drive-Thru Director, I strive to keep our drive-thru running seamlessly, while ensuring each guest receives consistent, quality food. Every day I am given an opportunity to leave an impact on my team, our store, and our guests. I am so grateful to have such a fulfilling career and work in a field I am passionate about.
